Patient Zero

I have been proud that ever since I started van-dwelling I had not been sick  with those annual illnesses such as the common cold or flu. I have had some bad allergies and even food poisoned, but no cold or flu. I credit that I am near so few people through out my normal day so the fewer chances one of them can infect me with their illness… until now.

I arrived in California, prior to me Hawaii trip, to find my Sister quite ill with a head cold and – as it eventually turns out – bronchitis. I was successful at keeping her at bay and left on my trip for Hawaii believing I was in the clear. However, upon my return to the main-land, she was still sick (if not worse) and her attitude seemed to shift to intentionally violating my personal anti-sickness-bubble. The proximity of her coughing set off all my alarms, though I did nothing about it, and by the 23rd the infection was complete.

Let it be known that my sister is patient-zero of the zombie apocalypse.

{sniff… ugh}

    To minimize chances of getting a respiratory track infection use nasal rinse, the solution clears your nostrils of offending micro-organisms thus your chances of getting sick are much lower. This is excellent to prevent allergies as well. Check this one out !
