McArthur Lake

IMG_9550McArthur Lake is part of the McArthur Lake Wildlife Management Area which was established in 1942 to protect and enhance Idaho’s waterfowl habitat. The waterfowl habitat encompasses more than 1,200 acres which provides refuge to more than 200 species of birds and Canada Geese during migration in the spring and fall.

I just happened to stumble onto it when doing my standard recon of my driving route on Google maps. McArthur Lake stood out to me as it is my surname (for those that did not know). With that connection, it was a planned stop for me on this leg of the trip, and timing couldn’t have been better as I was 1/2 hour away from having to stop for 3 hours of work… so I did so at McArthur Lake. In between some button-pushing online, I got out to snap a few photos.
