{"id":9842,"date":"2016-06-02T01:00:26","date_gmt":"2016-06-02T07:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.van-tramp.com\/wp\/?p=9842"},"modified":"2019-11-13T09:08:43","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T16:08:43","slug":"weston-pass-national-historic-auto-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.van-tramp.com\/wp\/weston-pass-national-historic-auto-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Weston Pass &#8211; National Historic Auto Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kerri and I took a drive last Sunday, not only to spot a couple boondocking spots for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campendium.com\/\">Campendium.com<\/a>, but to take the Weston Pass between Fairplay and Leadville. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/Internet\/FSE_DOCUMENTS\/stelprdb5210503.pdf\">Weston Pass Road<\/a> was originally a 16 mile wagon road between the two towns in the late 1800&#8217;s. Now it cuts through the National Forest, past a few private ranches, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campendium.com\/weston-pass\">Forest Service campground<\/a>, some nice boondocking along the river, and a 11,000+ foot peak.
