\"IMG_1715.JPG\"<\/a>Conor and I went out for an early morning hike, this time we stayed at lower altitude thanks to everything beginning to bloom down here with the early spring. We tackled the 6 miles round trip of Picture Rock Trail again and made sure to take the time to snap some photos and just enjoy the spring-time colors. The trail itself was outstanding, just as it was last year. Because the trail is so new (created only a few years ago) it is quite tame, but the trade off is a relaxing 6 miles that allowed us to keep our head up and take in the sights… as opposed to having to always watch the ground for all the jagged rocks.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_1742.JPG\"<\/a>We began our hike just as the sun was rising to make sure there was ample time before I had to work. This gave us some spectacular lighting in the early part of the trail. After a very mildly paced stroll of 2 hours we reached the hold homestead where we hung out for another hour taking pictures.<\/p>\n

We got pretty lucky this time around, spotting a fair share of wildlife an getting many of them photographed. A flock of wild turkey, a small group of deer, and a coyote being chased by a Jay bird (they were both fighting over the carcass of an animal) is a pretty good days hike.<\/p>\n
