Showing My Mother Rocky Mtn Ntnl Park
We drove into Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park to show Mom the sights as best we could in a half-day. Mom is still getting too winded at our altitude to go for any treks down the trails, but there are still a lot of things worth seeing right from the car. We walked the downtown of Estes Park, snacking on some caramel corn while we window shopped. We drove up Trail Ridge Road to show her the top of the world and and gazed at the clouds that were dumping rain on our camp 30 miles away. Afterwards, we stopped in at the Indian Trading post where Mom was able to find some nice jewelery to add to her collection.
