100 days on the road

This past Sunday marked my 100th day on the road (again). Although I have been technically Full-Timing since December of 2011, I have not lived exclusively out of the van that entire time. I’ve stayed with family in California a few weeks here and there and even lived with my immediate Family in Colorado for a few of those months. Well, that all ended on October 18th, 2012 and since then I have pretty much been in the van. I’m pretty excited about that, and what the future may bring. Yea, it has it’s challenges but the freedom out-weights them all.

PS – Today I finally stopped in at a truck stop to pay for a shower. One of the best $10 I’ve ever spent! It had been 9 days since my last shower (way back in Phoenix) and sponge-baths can only go so far. I was desperate for a shower and this stretch of I-40 was my best bet with the two major truck stops between Flagstaff and Petrified Forest Ntnl park. I scored at the first truck stop and too the hottest shower I could handle, shaved, and even saw myself in a mirror (another first in 9 days).
